The traditional way of learning, which has been through textbook and structured learning programs, obviously leaves gaps in learning capability, so being able to have a portable tool that we can send to a worker before they complete a dangerous or new task, to fill those knowledge gaps, is a super powerful tool for Komatsu moving forwards.

The way these courses are designed within the platform has enhanced the knowledge level of the trainees. Opting for virtual reality training is definitely a worthy discussion.

The technology being developed here by and for the resources industry is remarkable and more importantly, transferable to future industry needs. The exciting thing for me is the flow-on from this type of training will lead to better safety practices, reduce injury and risk; and keep our workers safer.
