Course Design Philosophy
Our birth out of a traditional safety training institution has allowed us to understand the importance of quality training, as we build our courses in-line with material and frameworks taught by safety professionals world-wide; giving you confidence to know that Next World training is of a world-class standard.
Every course begins with a Discovery phase to assess the relevant prior knowledge of the student. This is important as it creates a point of reference for the analytic software, and allows the trainee to familiarise themself with the training environment before the Instruction phase.
The Instruction phase is used to relay the critical learning outcomes of the course. The trainee will actively participate in the learning process by following directions and making decisions. This phase serves as the core learning component of the course, ensuring the trainee gains the essential knowledge and skills required to pass the in course exam.
The Practice phase allows the trainee to explore and safety practice their skills in the training environment. The trainee will typically be reinforcing what they learnt in Instruction, but at their own pace and with guidance only at key times.
The final Exam phase asks the trainee to complete a sequence of tasks without any guidance from our in course instructor. Trainees can either successfully complete the course, or fail and have to start again. Results are presented to the trainee allowing them to see their mistakes and understand what they did right and wrong.
